Comparative Study of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine vs Salient Pole Synchronous Machine in High Temperature Application

Résumé

This paper presents the sizing and the comparison of two synchronous machines. The purpose is to design a high temperature dedicated machine with the same performances than a permanent magnet machine. A salient pole wound rotor is chosen with anodized aluminum tape as windings.
